Frequently Asked Questions

What can be treated with homeopathy?
Practically everything can be helped with homeopathy, even when you're not quite sure what's wrong, you just don't feel 'quite right'. On my home page there is a list of common ailments that can be helped, but do please call me for a chat if you're not sure if homeopathy can help you or not.

Should I still continue to see my GP?
Yes. Homeopathy can work alongside conventional medicine, and we do recommend that you continue to see your GP. It is useful for your homeopath to know any tests or medicine you are given by your GP.

Can I treat myself?
You can treat yourself and your family at home for some basic first aid problems. I can recommend some useful books and kits you can buy. I also offer Acute sessions if you are unsure which remedy to use or it is a more difficult condition to treat.

I've heard you can't drink coffee or use mint toothpaste, is that true?
Opinion is divided on this one! The theory behind this is because certain substances, such as coffee and mint/menthol can 'antidote' the remedy. My advice to patients is just to avoid these substances for 15 minutes before and after taking the remedy.
